Solaris appoints former co-ordinator of operations and finance at Wilson and Pinnacle as new COO.

Australian equities fund manager Solaris Investment Management (Solaris) has appointed Glen Holding as chief operating officer (COO).

Holding will oversee the financial side of the business and look after all of Solaris' outsourced provisions, Solaris managing director Dennis Donohue said.

Prior to his appointment Holding was the co-ordinator of operations and finance at Wilson Investment Group/Pinnacle Investment Management.

During his two years in this role Holding helped Solaris establish its operational infrastructure. Pinnacle Investment Management has a 40 per cent stake in Solaris.

"As a result he is ideally placed to consolidate and maintain the efficacy of the firm's key business functions to support Solaris' continued growth," a Solaris spokesperson said.

Holding has 14 years of experience in accounting and operations positions and held the position of vice president of operations at Credit Suisse Fund Administration (Guernsey and Cayman Islands) for five years.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Australian Society of CPAs.
