The research house confirmed that Erica Hall will take on the role, replacing Christopher Franz who has relocated to Chicago for the group.
Ms Hall previously worked as a senior manager for adviser solutions at Morningstar Investment Management.
“Erica will be a great addition to Morningstar’s ESG efforts as we continue to boost our coverage in this sector that continues to garner investor interest and engagement,” said Annika Bradley, Morningstar director of manager research ratings for Asia-Pacific.
Ms Hall has over 20 years of experience in financial services and started her career as a money market dealer before moving into funds management.
Prior to working at Morningstar, Ms Hall has held roles at Vanguard Australia, Omega Global Investors and NAB Asset Management.
Ms Hall’s appointment follows the hiring of Rick Di Cristoforo in September who joined the company as it director of research products and leading product lines, including Adviser Research Centre and Research Advisory.
